The day comes when a soon-to-be bride feels all
the stress she's under; the sensation is like
being on a rollercoaster you can't stop. When
this time comes, she feels tempted to throw her
hands in the air and give up the whole thing -
questions like "do you prefer the muted pink
to the lavender?" can be maddening after
awhile…
The best day of your life doesn't also HAVE to
be the most stressful - weddings are a logistical
challenge of epic proportions. This situation
has a fairly obvious solution, however; consider
a wedding
planner!
Wedding planners are professional organizers;
they don't mind being overwhelmed with all the
details of your nuptials - that's what they do!
They handle all the mundane details that can't
be ignored, the microcosmic issues that you don't
need to concern yourself with; a wedding planner
is a great stress-reliever, to be sure. Here are
a few sample "situations" that serve
as examples of what a wedding
planner could be worrying about for you:
• Does your planner have any experience
with unique
wedding favors? You want to leave an emotional
impression on your guests - what are some ways
to do that?
• Where do you find a qualified videographer
or photographer? Do you and the groom have to
plan on wearing microphones in order to be audible?
If you do, will the microphones be easily visible
or concealed?
• Does the band or DJ know that you hate
"The Chicken Dance"?
• Who will be in charge of ensuring that
all of the wedding
gifts are safely moved to a secure location
after you and your groom have run off to your
honeymoon?
• Are there any potential schedule conflicts
at the venue you're considering for the ceremony?
If the ceremony runs a little over, will another
wedding
party be banging down the door to get in?
Obviously, there are hundreds (if not thousands)
of small details that must be tended to during
the planning of a wedding; that being said, why
not let a professional tend to those details so
you don't have to? You have enough to worry about
as it is without making sure the folding chairs
are clean upon their arrival from the rental facility!
